24 Hrs of Adrenalin Will Auction Entries for IMBA Canada's Benefit Twenty4 Sports, organizers of the 24 Hrs of Adrenalin, will partner with IMBA Canada in 2008 to raise funds and recruit new members. This partnership will be focussed on the 10th Anniversary World Solo 24 Hours of Adrenalin Championships, to be held in Canmore, Alberta, on July 26-27. Twenty4 Sports held back five spots which will be auctioned in the next weeks with all funds to be directed to IMBA Canada, specifically earmarked for projects and activities in Alberta. Trek Extends "1 World 2 Wheels" Program to Canada Trek has committed to giving $10 for every full suspension mountain bike sold to IMBA Canada for bike-related advocacy efforts. Sprockids Mountain Bike Park Reborn Since the conception of the "Sprockids Mountain Biking Park" back in 1993, the park and the surrounding trails have continued to evolve to meet the needs of the current generation of young riders. On Sunday April 13, 2008 more than 85 individuals came out to lend a hand in the development in the park's next evolution. The event was organized by the students of Capilano College's Mountain Bike Operations Program, and was supported by numerous members of the mountain bike community on BC's Sunshine Coast. Kona Bicycles and IMBA Announce Four Epic Ride Events for 2008 IMBA has partnered with longtime corporate member Kona Bicycle Co. to promote four Epic celebrations in 2008. The Kona/IMBA Epic ride events will bring together mountain bikers from IMBA's 650 affiliated clubs and Kona's network of 300 dealers to celebrate great riding and promote joint advocacy efforts.
Dirt Series by Rocky Mountain Bicycles Going Big in 2008 In April, North America's premier traveling mountain bike skills instruction program takes to the road for its eighth season. This year, the long-time IMBA supporter is offering an unprecedented nineteen women’s-only and co-ed mountain bike camps in destinations like Sun Valley, Southern California, Park City, North Vancouver, and the Dirt Series home base of Whistler. Seminar for Professional Trail Contractors Scheduled for IMBA SummitAre you a skilled trailbuilder and want to turn pro? Learn the business at a two-day workshop prior to this June's IMBA World Summit. This fee-based course, taught by leading members of the Professional Trailbuilders Association, will provide all the information you need to know to start a career in professional trail contracting. Topics include business development, marketing, accounting, bidding, equipment purchase and maintenance, insurance and more.
